Michael Kessinger

Michael Kessinger was born and raised in Orofino, Idaho. He has devoted his legal career to representing injured workers, accident victims, and disability claimants throughout Idaho and Eastern Washington.
After graduating from Orofino High School, Michael served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Northern Italy. He then began his higher education, earning an Associate of Arts degree from North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Wabash College in Indiana. There, he received both the George A. Lipsky Award and the Daniels Award in Philosophy of Law. He completed his legal education at the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow, Idaho.
Michael was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 2003 and the Washington State Bar in 2007. He is certified by the Idaho Industrial Commission as a Workers’ Compensation Professional. He is also a longtime member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association.
He has argued cases before the Idaho Supreme Court. He has also represented clients in hundreds of proceedings before the Idaho Industrial Commission. Michael regularly speaks at Idaho State Bar and Idaho Trial Lawyers Association seminars on workers’ compensation law. He has also published articles on Idaho workers’ compensation topics in the ITLA Journal.
Outside of work, Michael speaks Italian and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors with his family.
